Pro Shop Manager
Mountain View Country Club in Greensboro is seeking to hire a Pro Shop Manager for the 2025 season, from May 5 through October 15. The Pro Shop is open daily to the public and our Manager works on-site five days per week, including weekends and holidays, reporting to the President of the Club. Responsibilities include:
- supervising and training Pro Shop staff with the goal of warmly welcoming our members, guests and visitors, while also collecting and recording fees for use of the Club’s facilities.
- managing Pro Shop retail sales, merchandising, pricing, promotions and purchases of additional inventory.
- working closely with committee chairs for golf, tennis, pickleball and social events, and coordinating with our tennis professional to support and enhance our programs.
- maintaining control of Pro Shop payroll and expenses, ensuring that daily cash flows are balanced and accurately reported, and depositing cash receipts at least weekly.
- maintaining the Club’s on-line calendar of club activities and distributing the Club’s weekly “Mountain Views”
- directing Pro Shop staff in maintaining the Club’s fleet of golf carts, and coordinating with the Course Superintendent on any mechanical maintenance issues.
- ensuring, directly and through Pro Shop Staff that Pro Shop and golf club storage areas remain presentable and orderly, and that the Clubhouse is clean, well maintained and secure.
This is a full-time salaried position, with competitive compensation commensurate with experience, and includes golf, tennis and pickleball privileges for the manager and their immediate family. Prior work in customer-facing retail and hospitality management roles is a plus, as are computer and related software skills. Golf, tennis and pickleball experience is a significant plus, but not a requirement.
