Looking Ahead to the 2026 Season at Mountain View!

Greetings from Mountain View! We hope this finds you and your loved ones healthy and enjoying the tail end of winter. While the snow is still deep in Greensboro, warmer days are just around the corner and we are busily preparing to welcome you back for our 2026 season.

As always, we plan to open in early May, just as soon as we are clear of the winter snow and ice. We can’t wait to offer our community and their guests a full range of enjoyable golf, tennis, pickleball, and social activities!

A Look Back at Our Successful 2025 Season

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, staff, and volunteers, 2025 was a fantastic year. Nearly 1,900 individual members, guests, and visitors participated in various Club activities, totaling over 11,000 distinct visits!

While early-season rain led to a slight dip in court usage compared to the previous year, we used the season to make some fantastic investments in our future:

  • Growing Community: We welcomed several new faces, bringing our total membership up to 301.
  • Facility Investments: We invested over $80,000 to replace aging maintenance equipment, improve cart paths, and put brand-new roofs on both the Clubhouse and the Kid’s Club buildings.

What’s Coming in 2026

We are entering the 2026 season in a very solid financial position. To combat inflation and rising operational costs without passing the burden onto our community, the Board has voted to utilize some of our surplus reserves from 2025. This has allowed us to keep average dues increases to a bare minimum of just 1.4%.

Our capital budget for this year will include:

  • Further replacement of aging maintenance equipment.
  • Restoration of drinking and irrigation water to the lower tennis courts.
  • Continued general course and court improvements.

We are also thrilled to welcome back our outstanding leadership staff! Please be sure to say hello and share your appreciation with Steve Parker (Greens Superintendent), Laura Laramee (Racket Sports Professional), and Jaxson Hussey (Pro Shop Manager) when you see them around the facilities.

Mark your calendars for these upcoming season highlights:

  • Sunday, May 24th: The annual “Spring Fling” BYOB & Potluck at the Clubhouse. It’s the perfect opportunity to greet old friends and kick off our social season!
  • Saturday, August 15th at 1:30 p.m.: Our Annual Meeting, featuring officer reports and board elections.
