Opening Day at Mountain View!

Course Superintendent Steve Parker and his crack greens keeping team have been hard at work preparing our facilities for opening and we’re very pleased to announce the following opening days and times, subject of course to our unruly NEK weather:

  • Pickleball Courts: Wednesday, May 3, at 9:30 A.M.
  • Golf Course: Wednesday, May 10 at noon.
  • Tennis Courts: Saturday, May 12, at 8:30 A.M.

As in the past, members will be able to reserve court times and tee times through our CourtReserve on-line scheduling utility, the link to which is available on our Club Website (www.mvccvt.com). In addition, Brian Titus and his outstanding team will be staffing the Pro Shop commencing Monday, May 1, at 10 A.M. and will be available to answer your questions as they arise. If you have purchased our club storage option, you can bring your clubs over at any point after that time.

Those of you who spent time in the Northeast over the last six months will know that this has been one strange winter! A relatively warm and dry winter ended with loads of snow in March, followed by a warm and wet April, with rainfall as much as 40% above average (including 2” overnight on April 22-23). All this has left standing water that slows down normal course clean-up activities and causes our clay courts to be a bit “soupier” than we normally hope for in late April. Rain also is forecast for much of the next week, so we will be deciding whether to allow play, and whether to permit motorized carts on the course, on a day-to-day basis. Please feel free to call the Pro Shop at 1-802-533-7477 to confirm course and court conditions, as well as cart availability, prior to your arrival. Alternatively, you may leave a message or send us an email ([email protected]) and we’ll respond to your question as soon as we can.

Thanks in advance for your patience and considerate forbearance as we complete the work necessary to get your Club ready for your enjoyment.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Mountain View!
